Bids due 2:00 pm – June 24, 2020

Bids for the 22nd Avenue and River Road SAFE Project shall be submitted electronically to the designated location prior to 2:00 p.m. on June 24, 2020, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read via a Zoom webinar. Bids received after 2:00 p.m. shall not be considered.

The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following:

  • Construction of storm sewer pipe with inlets, sidewalk, curb, roadwork, and other miscellaneous appurtenances.
  • Water work including pressure reducing valve and reconnecting existing water services.

All work is to be completed by 180 Calendar Days from the date of mobilization, or not later than October 15, 2021, whichever occurs first.

The Contract Documents may be examined at http://bids.milwaukieoregon.gov/. Interested parties will need to create a free login account to view contract documents. The account will be used to notify plan holders of any addenda throughout the bidding process.

All bids shall be submitted electronically in the prescribed form and said manner as indicated in the Special Provisions. Bids shall be accompanied by proof of a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond executed in favor of the City of Milwaukie in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount. Bidders shall be pre-qualified with the Oregon Department of Transportation, in the Class of Work as appropriate prior to the public opening and reading of the bids.

The Engineer’s cost estimate for the project is $1,761,000 - $2,054,000.

No bid will be considered unless the bid contains, or is accompanied by, a statement by the bidder that the provisions required by ORS 279C.838 or ORS 279C.840, as applicable, pertaining to prevailing wages, shall be included as part of the Contract.
